Aviation Test Site
The past few weeks we have been working on a classified aviation test site. With the past few days offering nice weather, we have had time to install the acoustic roof using a more traditional system of liner tray with a top grid system and 280mm of compressed insulation under a top roof profile to gain the required thermal performance and acoustic rating.

CE MARKING
As of the 1st July 2014 it became compulsory that all structural steelwork be CE marked. This means that anyone manufacturing or designing steel framed buildings or components of steel within the European market must comply with this law. After this date it is now illegal to sell any structural steel without it being CE marked. Failure to do so has serious consequences potentially leading to imprisonment.
Under the Construction Products Regulations (CPR) there are new legal obligations that have been introduced for producers and steel manufacturers within the EU. This applies to constituent products (beams, etc) and not only that but to the fabricated elements.
The standard that relates to fabricated structural steelwork is BS EN 1090: Execution of steel structures and aluminium structures.

Galvanised light weight frames

What we have been up to this week – We are currently erecting a building in Aberdeen. This is a one of our fully galvanised light weight frames which is being joined in with an existing building.
At G Jones Construction Ltd we are a supplier of sectional steel relocatable buildings, steel portal frame buildings and hot rolled steel buildings.
We have acquired a CNC Plasma cutting machine this allows us to offer customers accurate profile cutting to any design required.
We have our own workshop to enable us to now manufacture all our own buildings. This now gives us full control of all our projects from design, manufacture and delivery.
